Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is located in Kanab, UT. The Sanctuary has a mission to end homelessness of pets. At any given time, there are over one thousand pets at the sanctuary. The staff provides them with the love and care that they need to thrive. It is the nation’s largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals and sits on 3,700 acres of land. Many different kinds of animals are found at the sanctuary, the most popular being dogs. Other animals include cats, horses, pigs, bunnies, and parrots. Zion National Park

Zion National Park is about a 4.5 hour drive from Salt Lake City. While the whole national park is breathtaking, consider checking out the Zion Narrows. The Zion Narrows are one of the best hikes in the entire National Park System. The canyon is approximately 16 miles long. It can be a strenuous hike, but it is well worth it.
